Louise Brakes is the Operations Director and an experienced Social Worker, working in Child Safeguarding services for almost two decades as a practitioner and senior manager. Louise has experience leading across service areas including MASH, Assessment and Safeguarding teams and has extensive experience of care planning both as a practitioner and senior leader.
Louise has supported change management within Local Authorities that have undergone restructuring and implemented new models of delivery within children’s services. Louise has extensive experience of developing and working alongside partners to design, implement and deliver improvements to services, to secure outcomes for families and children.
Louise is able to offer expert advice and guidance to Local Authorities on adopting and implementing models of delivery for their services, including undertaking diagnostic screening, Audit and training work. She designs and delivers training nationally to Local Authorities around Threshold, Supervision, Assessment and Planning.
Louise can undertake Parent Assess Assessments, Train the trainer in Parent Assess, PAMs and is a Practice Educator and Assessor. Louise is trained in Motivational Interviewing, the Resolutions Approach and supports a team of Practitioners that work for PIPS.
Louise has a BA (Hons) in Social Work from De Montfort University and is registered with Social Work England.
Louise is passionate about supporting families to achieve the best possible outcomes through advocating strengths-based practice to support change, core to Social Work Values and established Parents in Partnership in July 2019 and our sister company PIPS Homes in 2023.
